Filter Press

Filter press is a compact unit for clear filteration of liquids, most pharmaceutical liquids, cosmetics, beverages etc., it consists of a strong stainless steel tank with top cover and tightening bolts. A filtering unit fitted in the centre of the tank consists of several horizontally arranged disc type filter plates with perforated screens, filter media and interlocking cups. The filter press is coupled with a stainless steel transfer pump with motor and mounted on a portable base covered with stainless steel sheet and also provided with ball-bearing castors.

The liquids to be filtered is passed on to the filter tank by the transfer pump. A cartridge plate assembly consisting of several filter plates arranged with supporting screens, filter media and interlocking cups are fitted in the filter tank. The liquid in the tank finds its way to the top of the plates through the circular openings on the side of the plates. The filter media arrests suspensions and allows the filtrate to pass through them and the screens and to run down the central vertical channel formed by the interlocking cups. It then goes out to the outlet pipe.

Filter press is available in various capacities ranging from 250 litres to 4000 litres.
All contact parts are made of SS 304.
